Chelsea new boy Radamel Falcao takes HUGE pay cut to seal Premier League return

The numbers behind Radamel Falcao’s move to Chelsea have been revealed, and it seems his decision to take a huge pay cut helped seal a return to the Premier League this summer, The Times report.
Last season the Colombian international was believed to be earning something in the region of £265,000-per-week at Manchester United.
However, in order to complete his season-long loan deal at Stamford Bridge, the 29-year-old will be earning somewhere between £130,000 to £180,000-per-week, though the exact figure has not yet been revealed.
His valuation is still reaching astronomical proportions, though, as the Blues were forced to pay £4.2m to bring him on board for the season. The club can then knock that off of a £35m deal to sign him permanently at the end of the season.
Manager Jose Mourinho will certainly be hoping that he contributes more than his four goals from last term, and though he does not possess the same legendary status as Didier Drogba at the club, it is thought that he will provide a greater attacking threat than the 37-year-old.
